ALFREDO RATNIEWSKI, MD

Executive Chief Medical Officer      

Born and raised in Mexico City, Dr. Alfredo Ratniewski graduated suma cum laude from the School of Medicine at Universidad Autónoma de México in 1976. After completing his residency in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Ratniewski completed a Clinical Fellowship at Bay Hospital, Chula Vista in 1986.

 

He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of International Physicians. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1995 and has published several articles in the area of Gastroenterology. He holds faculty appointments from several medical schools.

 

Dr. Ratniewski was in private practice in Chula Vista for nine years and then became co-founder of a medical group practice known as Centro Medico Latino that operated six clinics in Southern California for ten years. The intent of this project was to provide culturally-competent medical services to the Hispanic population of the Chula Vista, El Cajon, Escondido, San Marcos, and Cathedral City communities.

 

As Borrego Health’s Executive Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ratniewski’s approach to delivering medicine in a culturally competent manner guides our organization’s team of providers to compassionate, high-quality care to the communities we serve.
