Effuah A. Harris, D.D.S. completed her dental education at Ludwig-Maximillian University of Munich (LMU), Germany where she received her dental degree (Dr. Medical Dentistry). She received her specialty certification in Oral Surgery at the Free University of Berlin, Germany in 1987, where she also taught as Assistant Professor for Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics, after holding a similar position at the Medical University of Hanover, Germany.
In the U.S.A., she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USC) in 1996 as Class President and valedictorian for that year's International Advanced Graduate Program.
Dr. Harris practiced dentistry in Orange County and the Inland Empire. Her Upland practice focused on esthetic dentistry and emphasized Implant Overdentures and Esthetic Full Mouth Rehabilitation. She has served as a volunteer dentist for several organizations including Care Harbor, California Care Force and is a trained Medical Director for the Special Olympics. Dr. Harris’ commitment to the communities she serves is underpinned by her professional volunteer activities, which led her to serve as a dentist for several California State Correctional Institutions that were underserved and assisted in bringing patient’s documentation to compliance and ensuring timely services.
In addition to her role at Borrego Health, she also serves as Assistant Professor and Team Leader at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
