EDGAR BULLOCH, MD

Interim Chief Executive Officer

In his multiple roles within our organization since 2015, Dr. Bulloch has demonstrated true leadership, reliability, and exceptional approachability. Most recently, he has been our COVID-19 Task Force Clinical Chair, Regional Medical Director, and Women’s Health Department Chair.

Dr. Edgar Bulloch has been working with federally qualified health centers since 2010 and has been with Borrego Health since August 2015. He has served as clinic coordinator for Centro Medico El Cajon where he has piloted quality-related projects to meet organization goals. In January of 2019, he became Borrego Health's department chair for women’s health. While in this role, he has negotiated contracts with programs to allow for a better work-life balance for our current obstetrical team while cutting down costs for hospital coverage for Borrego Health. He also initiated a protocol committee for the department whereby medical protocols are created and implemented to ensure that all providers are practicing by the most current evidence-based medicine guidelines.

Since March 2020, Dr. Bulloch has been heading Borrego Health’s efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, as he became the organization’s Task Force and Command Center Chair.

He currently sits on the Ob-Gyn Supervisory Committee for Sharp Grossmont Hospital and was recently appointed to the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative.

He is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist. He obtained his medical doctorate from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center Houston Medical School.

Dr. Bulloch states that his vision is that “Borrego Health be known not just for numbers, but also for the clinical quality we provide.”
