In addition to coronavirus (COVID-19) testing sites, Borrego Health also offers "pop-up" screening and testing events by appointment only.


If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have been exposed to a person that is known to have COVID-19, you are encouraged to call our triage line 855-436-1234. We can set up a telehealth assessment to determine if you need to be tested.

Our testing process involves a swab of your nose and/or throat. At most of our testing sites and events, you don’t even have to leave your car. You will be directed to a specified area where a member of our healthcare team will meet you and collect your sample.


At the time of your testing, you will be provided with information on COVID-19 and what you can do to decrease your risk of spreading the virus if you have it.

It typically takes 3-4 business days for results to return but, depending on demand, it may take longer. Borrego Health staff will contact you once we receive the results of your test.


Note: Due to inclement weather, some of our drive-through testing sites may have modified hours of operation. Please call your clinic to schedule an appointment. Testing will be offered while supplies last.

If you are NOT a Borrego Health patient, we highly recommend you contact your primary care provider to determine where they can provide COVID-19 testing for you prior to being tested with us.
