CLAYTON BARBOUR II, MD

President and Medical Director of Specialty Services 

Clayton O. Barbour, II, M.D. is the Medical Director of HIV and Hepatitis C services for Borrego Healthcare Foundation.  The organization is a Federally Qualified Health Center expanding services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, and Hepatitis C in the Eastern region of Riverside County. He has served in the position With Borrego Health for the past 3 1/2 years.

 

Prior to his service at Borrego Healthcare Foundation Dr. Barbour was a Primary care provider, and Medical Director at the Desert AIDS Project, and provided medical care at the institution for over 17 years.

In addition to providing primary medical care, he has engaged in clinical trials for the development of new medications for the treatment of HIV.  Dr. Barbour is a nationally respected physician in the treatment of HIV, and has presented original independent research at the International AIDS Conference, US Conference on AIDS, and the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections.

 

He received his Medical degree from the University of Miami, and in the 30 years since completing medical school, he has provided medical care to over 3500 HIV positive individuals. Dr. Barbour is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

BCHF is a Federally Qualified Health Center and a Federal Tort Claims Act Deemed organization. The Federal Government is the primary insurer.
